Shopfitting, signage, window dressing, covering: whether permanent or temporary, these retail projects always enter a critical phase when it comes to deployment. In a fitting and installation market that has been under pressure since Covid – where skills are scarce and expensive – few teams, a fortiori French, are capable of ensuring optimal deployment in a network of stores, throughout the country. Yet this expertise is much sought-after by brands and chains, who can’t afford to tie up their retail space for too long in the course of redevelopment work. In a sector dominated by independents – where integrated teams are rare – fitters and installers are also guarantors of the image of the supplier (print service provider, POS manufacturer) in front of the brand. It’s a profession that’s currently undergoing a major professionalization drive, commensurate with the stakes involved in deployment.
